Este evento deportivo de primera referencia a nivel nacional e internacional se celebrar\u00e1 los d\u00edas 26 y 27 de julio y recorrer\u00e1 un total 355,1 km de las provincias de Soria y Segovia. En esta competici\u00f3n participar\u00e1n cerca de una veintena de equipos, tanto espa\u00f1oles, como procedentes de otros pa\u00edses como Francia, B\u00e9lgica, Italia, Portugal, Suiza, Israel, Kazajist\u00e1n, Estados Unidos, Emiratos \u00c1rabes, Nueva Zelanda o Australia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Castilla y Le\u00f3n Cycling Tour is a prominent ambassador for the cultural and natural heritage of the region&#039;s provinces: &quot;Cultural, natural, and landscape heritage, as well as the Spanish language, are strategic sectors for Castilla y Le\u00f3n, as key elements of identity, social cohesion, and economic development. The Castilla y Le\u00f3n Cycling Tour is a perfect showcase for all of these elements,&quot; Santonja emphasized.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The first stage, on Wednesday, July 26, will cover 168.9 km, starting in Numancia, a site of great archaeological importance. The finish line will be in Soria, a historic city with equally exceptional architectural treasures, such as the Church of San Juan and the Hermitage of San Saturio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The second stage will take place on Thursday, July 27, covering 186.2 km, between the Segovian town of Coca\u2014home to the prehistoric remains of the Cinco Ca\u00f1os, as well as its majestic Gothic-Mudejar castle\u2014and the monumental city of Segovia, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to the impact this event has on the image of Castile and Le\u00f3n, cycling instills high sporting values in society. &quot;If all sports require enormous amounts of effort, sacrifice, and self-improvement, cycling embodies these values at the very core of a sport that is pure nobility. For this reason, it is important to promote the practice of this sport and encourage families, as irreplaceable players in transmitting these values to younger generations, to enjoy competitions like this International Cycling Tour of Castile and Le\u00f3n,&quot; the councilor emphasized during his speech.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Regional Ministry emphasizes the importance of sports, both for health, through its practice, and for the development of the region.
