El director general de Deportes, Enrique S\u00e1nchez-Guijo, ha presentado hoy en Valladolid la XXXVIII Cl\u00e1sica Ciclista Internacional a Castilla y Le\u00f3n, que se celebrar\u00e1 el pr\u00f3ximo 23 de julio y que se desarrollar\u00e1 entre Valladolid y La Cist\u00e9rniga. En el acto tambi\u00e9n han participado la concejala de Deportes del Ayuntamiento de Valladolid, Mayte Mart\u00ednez; el alcalde del Ayuntamiento de la Cist\u00e9rniga, Alberto Redondo; y el director general de la carrera, Laudelino Cubino.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Regional Government of Castile and Le\u00f3n is funding this international competition for professional cyclists in Castile and Le\u00f3n, as part of its goal of facilitating the organization of major sporting events in the region, such as this top-level cycling event, which generates significant benefits for the region. These events are a significant means of promoting the sport of cycling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The 38th International Cycling Classic of Castile and Le\u00f3n will be held this year as a new "one-day classic." It will be held on July 23rd in Valladolid, starting in Valladolid and finishing in La Cist\u00e9rniga (Valladolid). The race will cover a predominantly flat route of 199.7 kilometers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Cadalsa Cycling Club, as in previous editions, has contracted the participation of professional teams, both UCI World Team, Continental Professional, and UCI Continental, resulting in a total of 17 teams participating, including all Spanish professional teams, while the rest are foreign teams. These teams will be composed of seven riders each, plus seven technicians and assistants, for a total of 210 people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
