The Movistar player from Valladolid will be on the starting line at Plaza Zorrilla wearing number 36 and will be looking to be a prophet at home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Seventeen teams will participate this Tuesday in the 38th Castilla y Le\u00f3n International Cycling Classic, which will take place between Valladolid and La Cist\u00e9rniga. This year, the event is a one-day classic, with a predominantly flat 199.7-kilometer route in the province of Valladolid, starting in Plaza Zorrilla.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Cadalsa Cycling Club, the race organizer, has secured the participation of six UCI WorldTeams - Movistar, UAE, Astana, Cofidis, Jayco Alula, and Arkea -, eight UCI ProTeams - Burgos BH, Euskaltel, Kern Pharma, Caja Rural, Lotto, Polti Kometa, Q36.5, and TotalEnergies -, and three continental teams - Illes Balears, Colombia Potencia la Vida, and Victoria Sport Pro Cycling. These teams will be comprised of seven riders each, plus seven technicians and assistants, for a total of 210 people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Among them will be a Valladolid native. Iv\u00e1n Romeo, riding for Movistar, will ultimately be the only local cyclist on the starting line. "I think I'm doing very well and I hope to get good results," Romeo stated yesterday, not forgetting the wind and heat, as he will be riding with number 36.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The race will have five mountain passes, starting at 1:00 p.m. from Plaza Zorrilla (neutralized by Paseo de Zorrilla, Hospital Militar, Jos\u00e9 Acosta, the motorway underpass, Zarat\u00e1n, and Camino del Prado at the bus stop) and finishing on Avenida de Soria, opposite Hotel San Crist\u00f3bal, in La Cist\u00e9rniga, between 5:47 p.m. and 6:14 p.m. From the start, the race will head south to Mojados and then west to Cogeces del Monte, returning to the capital and finishing in La Cist\u00e9rniga.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
