The Castilla y Le\u00f3n Classic faces its 39th edition under the organization of the\u00a0Cadalsa Cycling Club<\/strong>\u00a0next July 27th with departure in Laguna de Duero and arrival in Pe\u00f1afiel<\/a>The race, which will take place in the province of Valladolid, follows the example of the formerly known as the Vuelta Ciclista Castilla y Le\u00f3n. With more than four decades of tradition and a multitude of iconic moments, the quintessential race in the Castilian-Leonese region will once again be the epicenter of international cycling next summer, with the participation of more than 20 teams, including the Movistar Team, recently announced<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The organization's will and intention is to return to the past. In its early days, it featured five exciting and diverse stages combining mountain terrain, flat roads typical of Castile, and time trials, where the best World Tour riders competed to compete for the trophy and the purple jersey. The crowds gathered around the course to experience the thrill of five days of one of the most iconic competitions on the calendar of the world's leading teams. Miguel Indur\u00e1in<\/a>, Alberto Contador, Simon Yates<\/a>, Alejandro Valverde<\/a> or Paco Mancebo are some of the illustrious names who managed to conquer the vuelta<\/strong> After several days of hard work, they rode from Segovia to Soria, from Zamora to Salamanca, from Le\u00f3n to Burgos, and from Valladolid to \u00c1vila. Each edition revealed a new circuit or some remote Castilian location with incomparable scenic beauty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Epicness, sacrifice, and dedication were, are, and will be concepts rooted in the Castilian race. Unparalleled victories and inconsolable defeats. Alberto Contador emerged as the race's all-time dominator with three victories. The decade from 2000 to 2010 saw him crowned as the most successful runner.He won in 2007, 2008 and 2010 with performances that will go down in the history books.<\/a> of the Castile and Le\u00f3n Cycling Tour. In 2007, Alberto Contador won the fourth stage <\/strong>A masterful run took place between Valladolid and Alto de Navacerrada. He crested the mountain pass and claimed victory, just as he did in 2008 when he won the opening time trial of the Vuelta a Espa\u00f1a, held between the Segovia towns of Valsa\u00edn and the base of the mountain. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Who will join the long and prestigious list of winners in the 39th edition? Many will be nominated, but only one will succeed.
