With more than four decades of tradition and a multitude of iconic moments, the quintessential race of the Castilian-Leonese community will once again be the epicenter of international cycling next summer, with more than 20 participating teams. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Castilian-Leonese round has had illustrious winners such as\u00a0<strong>Miguel Indur\u00e1in, Alberto Contador, Simon Yates, Alejandro Valverde or Paco Mancebo<\/strong>They rode from Segovia to Soria, from Zamora to Salamanca, from Le\u00f3n to Burgos, or from Valladolid to \u00c1vila. Each edition revealed a new circuit or some remote Castilian location with incomparable scenic beauty. Last year, the sprinter\u00a0<strong>Caleb Ewan<\/strong>\u00a0He managed to raise his arms in La Cist\u00e9rniga after winning the sprint in the last few meters of the race.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Classic Castile and Le\u00f3n Tour 2025<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The provinces of Valladolid and Segovia will see the international professional peloton, with more than 150 riders, complete the<strong>&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/vueltacyl.clubciclistacadalsa.es\/en\/2025\/clasica-castilla-leon-200-kilometros-provincias-de-valladolid-segovia\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">201 kilometers of route between Laguna de Duero and Pe\u00f1afiel<\/a>.<\/strong>&nbsp;These locations will be the start and finish of the competition, with the teams gathering and starting at Laguna de Duero Lake, and the finish line at Pe\u00f1afiel Castle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Laguna de Duero will be the starting point. The town of Valladolid will host the teams&#039; training camp and&nbsp;<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/vueltacyl.clubciclistacadalsa.es\/en\/2025\/laguna-de-duero-acogera-la-salida-de-la-clasica-castilla-y-leon-2025\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">the start of the Castilla y Le\u00f3n Classic in the scenic surroundings of its lake, a sporting area par excellence.<\/a><\/strong>&nbsp;It will host the start of the most important regional event, with the participation of elite international teams. After starting the race in Boecillo (km 0), the peloton will head towards the first key point of the day in the early stages of the race.<strong>&nbsp;La Parrilla (1.7 km at 6.6%), third category.<\/strong>&nbsp;In just 16 kilometers, the runners will face the first steep climb. Once over this, they will head towards the second peak near&nbsp;<strong>from kilometer 53, La Planta (1.8 km at 4.9%),&nbsp;<\/strong>third category, although Montemayor and Aldealbar will be transferred first.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/vueltacyl.clubciclistacadalsa.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/total-1-1024x1024.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-75425\" srcset=\"https:\/\/vueltacyl.clubciclistacadalsa.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/total-1-1024x1024.png 1024w, https:\/\/vueltacyl.clubciclistacadalsa.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/total-1-300x300.png 300w, https:\/\/vueltacyl.clubciclistacadalsa.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/total-1-150x150.png 150w, https:\/\/vueltacyl.clubciclistacadalsa.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/total-1-768x768.png 768w, https:\/\/vueltacyl.clubciclistacadalsa.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/total-1-200x200.png 200w, https:\/\/vueltacyl.clubciclistacadalsa.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/total-1.png 1080w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The next few kilometres will be based on flat terrain without difficulties, passing through Valbuena, Pesquera or R\u00e1bano, in addition to making a pass close to the finish line through Pe\u00f1afiel,<strong>&nbsp;which is where the first intermediate sprint of the race will be located at kilometer 86.&nbsp;<\/strong>After 100 kilometers, the peloton will return to a more challenging section with several steep climbs. They will begin the climb from Sacramenia and summit the final climb of the day, Fuentidue\u00f1a (1.6 km at 6.4%), category three.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After the descent, they will visit Olombrada and then continue the route to the second&nbsp;<strong>Intermediate sprint located in Cu\u00e9llar at kilometer 143<\/strong>. And in the last 50 kilometers, they will link a series of slopes and winding roads crossing Vallelado, Viloria, Aldealbar (second pass) and Langayo to finish the race with a&nbsp;<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/vueltacyl.clubciclistacadalsa.es\/en\/2025\/penafiel-acogera-la-llegada-de-la-clasica-castilla-y-leon-2025\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">explosive finale at the legendary and iconic Pe\u00f1afiel Castle,<\/a><\/strong>&nbsp;who will witness the outcome of the 2025 Castilla y Le\u00f3n Classic packed with fans gathered at the fences of the ramps surrounding the monument.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Castilla y Le\u00f3n Classic Teams 2025<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>A total of 19 teams will compete in the competition, representing 11 different countries and three world cycling categories. Leading the field are the WorldTeam teams from the first division, with the Spanish team&nbsp;<strong>Movistar Team<\/strong>, the Emirati team&nbsp;<strong>UAE Team Emirates<\/strong>&nbsp;of the world champion Tadej Pogacar, the Kazakh team&nbsp;<strong>XDS Astana<\/strong>&nbsp;and the French team&nbsp;<strong>Cofidis.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the payroll of&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/vueltacyl.clubciclistacadalsa.es\/en\/2025\/la-clasica-castilla-y-leon-contara-con-la-participacion-de-8-estructuras-pro-team\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ProTeam sets<\/a>, there will be a total of 8 structures with a very broad Spanish representation. The following are invited:&nbsp;<strong>Rural Insurance Fund RGA<\/strong>, Javier Ib\u00e1\u00f1ez from Burgos;&nbsp;<strong>Burgos Burpellet BH<\/strong>&nbsp;with the young cyclist from Laguna de Duero, Dani Cavia, and Mario Aparicio from Burgos;&nbsp;<strong>Euskaltel Euskadi<\/strong>, and the&nbsp;<strong>Kern Pharma<\/strong>, with Nil Gimeno from Valladolid. Along with them, the Italian&nbsp;<strong>Polti VisitMalta<\/strong>, the Alberto Contador Foundation team; the French from&nbsp;<strong>TotalEnergies<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>Unibet DTT<\/strong>&nbsp;as well as the Swiss team&nbsp;<strong>Q 36.5<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/vueltacyl.clubciclistacadalsa.es\/en\/2025\/equipos-del-mundo-entero-acudiran-a-la-clasica-castilla-y-leon\/\">Continental teams<\/a>&nbsp;participating in this Classic Castile and Leon are led by the&nbsp;<strong>Balearic Islands Arabay&nbsp;<\/strong>Spanish, with Asier Gonz\u00e1lez from Burgos, and Portuguese appears on this list&nbsp;<strong>Tavfer Ovos Matinados Mortagua,&nbsp;<\/strong>he&nbsp;<strong>Victoria Sport Pro Cycling&nbsp;<\/strong>from the Philippines; the&nbsp;<strong>Petrolike<\/strong>&nbsp;from Mexico; the&nbsp;<strong>Pingtan Tourism Island<\/strong>&nbsp;Chinese, the&nbsp;<strong>Team Skiline<\/strong>&nbsp;of the United States as well as the&nbsp;<strong>Spanish U-23 team<\/strong>, a great opportunity for the best national promises.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These squads will prepare a block<strong>&nbsp;competitive, powerful, with rollers and also good&nbsp;<em>punchers<\/em><\/strong>&nbsp;to try to achieve victory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Favorites Classic Castilla y Le\u00f3n 2025<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The peloton will be made up of a multitude of riders with a chance of winning. To start the list of title contenders, we must mention the members of the four World Team teams, as they are the professional squads in the race and have the highest level of proficiency. Names such as&nbsp;<strong>Jon Barrenetxea and Davide Formolo (Movistar Team), Jan Christen and Alessandro Covi, (UAE Emirates \u2013 XRG), Diego Ulissi (XDS Astana), Jes\u00fas Herrada, Stefano Oldani and Simon Carr (Cofidis).<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But we shouldn&#039;t forget the rest of the teams. Their performance and adaptability to the terrain could be crucial and fundamental in pulling off a surprise victory over the World Tour teams.&nbsp;<strong>Daniel Cavia (Burgos Burpellet BH)<\/strong>, born in Laguna del Duero, will lead the list of second-string names looking to be at the front of the pack and fight for victory. The Laguna rider is followed by,&nbsp;<strong>Pau Mikel (Kern Pharma), Giacomo Nizzolo (Q36.5), Asier Pablo Gonz\u00e1lez (Illes Balears Arabay) and H\u00e9ctor \u00c1lvarez (Spanish Under-23 National Team).<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Live television for the Castilla y Le\u00f3n Classic<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The last two hours of the Castilla y Le\u00f3n Classic can be followed live on the television signal of<strong>&nbsp;Sportpublic TV, with Castilla y Le\u00f3n Television also connecting for the final stretch.<\/strong>&nbsp;It will be a unique opportunity to appreciate the landscapes of the Ribera del Duero, as well as the spectacular finish at Pe\u00f1afiel Castle to reveal the winner.
