The route of the first stage of the Vuelta a Castilla y León has changed. 

The Vuelta a Castilla y León organizers announce a change to the route of the first stage, which will start in Benavente and finish in Morales del Vino, as originally planned. The distance has been reduced to 156.7 kilometers, thus avoiding transit through towns at risk of fires in the province of Zamora.

Likewise, this organization wishes to express its solidarity with the towns and individuals affected by the fires throughout this first phase, as well as with all the municipalities affected by the fires this summer in Castile and León.
