Colombians Juan Sebastián Molano and Álvaro Hodeg will accompany the young promise of Spanish cycling, being another of the main assets of the Emirati team for the current edition of the Castilian-Leonese round.

The 27th edition of the International Cycling Tour of Castile and León, which will take place on July 26 and 27, will feature a star-studded field. A total of 19 teams from 12 different nationalities will participate, including six UCI World Teams, 10 UCI Pro Teams, and three UCI Continental teams.

Juan Ayuso will be the main force for UAE Team Emirates, and one of the key figures in the Castilian-Leonese round, in the fight for the overall title following the announcement of the Emirates team's seven-man squad to travel to Castile and León. The 20-year-old Catalan cyclist is one of the most promising young riders in Spanish cycling, making his debut in a Grand Tour like the Vuelta a España in 2022 with a third-place finish. He has thus become the youngest rider to reach the podium in the entire history of the Vuelta a España, and the second to do so in a Grand Tour. Furthermore, at the recent Spanish Championships held in the Community of Madrid, he won a silver medal in the road race and fourth place in the individual time trial. Two victories in the Tour de Suisse, which lifted him to second place overall, and one in the Tour de Romandie complete his trophy cabinet this season.

Ayuso will be joined by two prominent figures from UAE Team Emirates, Colombians Juan Sebastián Molano and Álvaro Hodeg. Molano achieved his most significant victory by winning the sprint in the final stage of the 2022 Vuelta a España. He also excelled in the 2021 Vuelta a Burgos and Giro di Sicilia, taking two victories in both, while winning as many as three stages in the 2020 Tour de Colombia. Álvaro Hodeg, meanwhile, excels as a sprinter, with several stage victories to his name, including the Volta a Catalunya, the Tour de l'Avenir, and the Tours of Poland, Turkey, Poland, and Slovakia, to name a few of his most notable.
