The regional round will be held on July 26 and 27, with the first stage being Soria-Numancia-Soria.

Cycling will be a major attraction in Soria this summer. While the Vuelta a España will take place in September, the Vuelta a Castilla y León will be held in July. Soria will be the start and finish point of the first stage of the 37th edition of the Vuelta a Castilla y León International Cycling Tour, which will be held in two stages. On July 26 and 27, organized by the Cadalsa Cycling Club.

The archaeological sites of Numancia and Los Cinco Caños (Coca, Segovia) will be the protagonists of the current edition of the Castilian and Leonese round that has as its motto 'A Tour of Our Ancient History'All of this will once again benefit from the fundamental support of the Regional Government of Castile and León to develop a top-level sporting event that will attract the participation of some of the best national and international professional cycling teams.

This first stage of the XXXVII edition of the International Cycling Tour of Castilla y León will have its signature control in Soria, and Kilometer 0 of the stage will be located in Garray, opposite the Numancia archaeological sites., to subsequently travel 168.9 kilometers with an incursion into Riojan lands, including the ascent to the Puerto de Piqueras. Buitrago, Ausejo de la Sierra, Ventosa de la Sierra, Arévalo de la Sierra, Gallinero, Almarza, La Póveda de Soria, Villoslada de Cameros, Montenegro de Cameros, El Royo, Sotillo del Rincón, Valdeavellano del Tera, Rollamienta, San Gregorio, Matute de la Sierra, Partelárbol, La Rubia, Los Villares de Soria, Almajano, Renieblas and, finally, once again the capital of Soria, will complete the route of this first stage. 

The intermediate sprints of La Poveda de Soria, at kilometer 35.9, and that of El Royo, at kilometer 113.6, are other attractive points of this first stage where upon arrival in Soria the first leader of the current edition of the International Cycling Tour of Castile and León will be known.
