PREVIEW: Everything is ready for the Castilla y León Classic

The Castilla y León Classic faces its 39th edition under the organization of the Cadalsa Cycling Club next July 27th with departure in Laguna de Duero and arrival in PeñafielThe race, which will take place in the provinces of Valladolid and Segovia, follows the example of the previously known Vuelta Ciclista Castilla y León. With more than four decades of tradition and a multitude of iconic moments, the quintessential race of the Castilian-Leonese community will once again be the epicenter of international cycling next summer, with more than 20 participating teams.

The Castilian-Leonese round has had illustrious winners such as Miguel Induráin, Alberto Contador, Simon Yates, Alejandro Valverde or Paco ManceboThey rode from Segovia to Soria, from Zamora to Salamanca, from León to Burgos, or from Valladolid to Ávila. Classic Castile and León Tour 2025

The provinces of Valladolid and Segovia will see the international professional peloton, with more than 150 riders, complete the 201 kilometers of route between Laguna de Duero and Peñafiel. These locations will be the start and finish of the competition, with the teams gathering and starting at Laguna de Duero Lake, and the finish line at Peñafiel Castle.

Laguna de Duero will be the starting point. The town of Valladolid will host the teams' training camp and the start of the Castilla y León Classic in the scenic surroundings of its lake, a sporting area par excellence. It will host the start of the most important regional event, with the participation of elite international teams. A total of 19 teams will compete in the competition, representing 11 different countries and three world cycling categories.
