With two stage wins, out of three stages in total, and achieving the final general classification, Cimolai maintains his team's superiority in Castilian-Leonese lands.
Victory in Villafranca del Bierzo, after completing 151.8 km of stage time, went to Navarrese Enrique Sanz, who can finally celebrate a stage win in Spain this season, after coming close to it on the opening day and having raised his arms three times in the Volta ao Alentejo (2.2) in Portugal. Four victories for the Navarrese rider, which are a complete success for the Basque team Euskadi Murias so far. The next event on the Spanish 2.1 calendar will take place with the Vuelta a Asturias from May 3rd to 5th.
