The Vuelta a Castilla y León is taking place today, July 27th and tomorrow, July 28th. The Ávila-born cyclist from Caja Rural-Seguros RGA, David González, will be the Navarrese squad's main asset for the expected mass arrival on the first day between Benavente and Morales del Vino, a 156.7-kilometer route centered on the old Ruta de la Plata, with a few kilometers less than planned to avoid passing through areas affected by the recent fires in the province of Zamora.

The Fontiveros rider will be joined in the Castilian-Leonese round by Fernando Barceló, Jonathan Lastra, Jhojan García, Jokin Murgialday, Joel Nicolau, and Calum Jhonston. After the intense work of the previous weeks of high-altitude training, this group is capable of competing with the best and will also find their opportunity in the mountains offered by the second stage, which will decide the general classification with up to five mountain passes, starting and finishing in Guijuelo after 189.3 kilometers.

The race will be broadcast live on Castilla y León TV, as well as on Sportpublic TV's YouTube channel. Both platforms will offer the finish of each stage, with approximately an hour and a half of coverage.
