The cycling race will have a stage in Soria on July 26, climbing to the Castle and finishing in the city center next to the Bullring.
The Soria City Council has approved two sports agreements at its General Meeting of the City Council as part of the dual objective of continuing to host top-level events and also promoting the city's image as a tourist destination beyond its boundaries. Thus, the agreement with the Cadalsa Cycling Club to host a stage of the Vuelta a Castilla y León on July 26 has been approved. The funding is €15,000.
The opening stage will be 170 kilometers long, with various mountain passes on the border between Soria and La Rioja. It will pass through Numancia and conclude at the bullring, where there will also be a neutral start. It will then climb to the Castle, a route that could prove decisive for the final podium. The event, attended by more than 450 people, including teams and riders, as well as the organizers, is enjoying a high number of visitors and a significant publicity and tourism profile.
