Los ajustes presupuestarios vuelven a condenar a una Vuelta que pierde su condición como tal al ser una carrera de un solo día, el 23 de julio, con 199,7 kilómetros de recorrido

The XXXVIII International Cycling Tour of Castile and León is reduced to a classic, which will be held on July 23rd over a single day, covering 199.7 kilometers between Valladolid and La Cistérniga, organized by the Cadalsa Cycling Club.

The decision was made due to ongoing budget cuts, according to a statement from the organizers, reported by Europa Press, which emphasized that the victory will now be contested over a single day that "is expected to be packed with great excitement and spectacularity."

The designed route will begin in Valladolid, next to Plaza Zorrilla, and will end in the Valladolid town of La Cistérniga after overcoming five third-category peaks: Robladillo (kilometer 15.4), La Garganta (kilometer 81.5), Portillo (kilometer 88.1), La Armedilla (kilometer 145) and Olivares (kilometer 155.8).

The number of teams and cyclists participating in the event will be another top-class edition, allowing for a high level of competition worthy of a race that boasts such notables as Miguel Indurain, Alberto Contador, Alejandro Valverde, Aleksandr Vinokurov, and Simon Yates, among others, among its winners.
