What was once a five-day tour has ended in a one-day classic, which nevertheless maintains a high level of competition. The 38th edition of the Castilla y León International Cycling Classic will take place next Tuesday, July 23, with a 199-km flat stage starting in Valladolid and finishing in the town of La Cistérniga.
One of the good news is the participation of Valladolid native Iván Romeo, who will be a member of the Movistar team. A total of 15 professional teams with seven riders per team will participate in the race.
The Valladolid runner is coming off a training period after competing in the Spanish Championships, where he had to work for his teammates in the road race and finished sixth in a time trial in which he was aiming for a medal.
Laudelino Cubino remains at the head of the race.
