Peñafiel will host the 2025 Castilla y León Classic.

Peñafiel Clásica Castilla y León

The Valladolid town of Peñafiel, and specifically the Peñafiel Castle – Provincial Wine Museum, will experience the outcome of the 2025 Castilla y León Cycling Classic. The professional event, which will be held on July 27 with exit in Laguna de Duero, will be held in its 39th edition and will feature a peloton of top-level cyclists and live television coverage.

The town where the 2025 Castilla y León Classic will conclude is now known. Peñafiel and its imposing castle will witness the finale of the competition in just two months. Peñafiel Castle, which was declared a National Monument in 1917, will be packed with spectators on its ramps to experience the fight for the final victory after completing the route yet to be revealed. It will therefore be an explosive, exciting finale that will allow you to discover the wonders of the heart of the Ribera del Duero, and that looking for a successor to sprinter Caleb Ewan.

The mayor of Peñafiel, Roberto Díez, highlights the opportunity to host the finish line of the Castilla y León Classic as "a day of celebration, of showing
"Our identity, our capacity to welcome, and our passion for effort and improvement. Having the cyclists cross the finish line here, in the heart of the Ribera del Duero, with our castle as a witness and our Plaza del Coso as an emblem, is an immense honor."

Tradition, heritage, wine, history... will come together on July 27th. And the finish at Peñafiel Castle makes the event truly special for Díez: "It is the soul of our landscape and the beacon that guides anyone who comes to our town. Today, as the Provincial Wine Museum, it has become the perfect symbol of what we are: history to be drunk and culture to be savored. Having a cycling finish line at the foot of this castle is no coincidence: it's a tribute to the resilience, character, and flavor of our land."

Everything is ready for Peñafiel to experience the finale of a cycling event in a town that embraces this sport "with passion and pride. We are a land of hard work, of hills steeped in history, and landscapes that invite you to pedal. Here, sport is not at odds with enjoyment: after the route, visitors will discover wineries, heritage, and first-class cuisine. Cycling and wine tourism coexist in perfect harmony, and that makes us a unique destination for active tourism," adds Mayor Roberto Díez.

The full route of the Castilla y León Classic, which will feature the best international cycling competitions on July 27 in Peñafiel, will be revealed in the coming weeks.
